Introducing our new series: “Still Missing. . .”

Pieces of history from museums and cultural institutions across the United States and, indeed, around the world are lost to the public as the result of thefts stretching from the recent past to decades ago.   Several partners of Argus Cultural Property Consultants have been involved in the gratifying recovery of these types of cultural treasures after a plea to the public to help find them has succeeded.

With our new blog series, “Still Missing . . .” we are continuing that recovery effort. Every Monday, we will highlight one stolen cultural treasure and the institution from which it was taken.  In short, we are putting out that plea again – and asking for your help to find these cultural objects that are “still missing…”

Believe it or not, many recoveries of stolen art or artifacts are thanks to vigilant members of the public who recognized the pieces and alerted the relevant authorities. With our “Still Missing…” series we hope to shine a light on these objects so you can help us get them back!
